The second annual Indian Motorcycle Rally fundraiser sponsored by
Friends of the Farm at Hilltop (FOFAH) will take place on July 17, 2010,
10am-4pm, at Hilltop Farm. Bikes of every make and model are welcome. Indian
and vintage bikes of all makes will be on display. Food, vendors and
entertainment will round out a day not to be missed.
The site of the rally is part of the original 500-acre farm of George
Hendee, co-founder of the Indian Motorcycle Company in Springfield, Mass.
All proceeds will go towards restoring the 20,000 sq. ft. Colonial Revival
dairy barn built in 1914. The goal of The Friends is to reopen the farm as a
center where people can reconnect to the land and learn from it.

Geoffrey Martin, a National Guardsman, died on May 31, 2010 due to a tragic motorcycle accident. He leaves behind his wife, Elise Apley-Martin, of only 6 months who is just recently pregnant and holding onto a home purchased just 5 months ago. There is no known life insurance leaving elise with both emotional as well as financial distress.
